Hi-Desert Adventure Retreat: March 2025, Joshua Tree California!

What?

Yoga, Meditation, Hiking, Climbing, Journaling, Soundbaths, Volunteering, and Workshops.
Local Experiences/Guests, Healthy and Fresh Prepared Meals, Community Involvement, AND MORE!

Why?

Welcome to my home away from my nomad home, the Hi-Desert of Southern California.
Join me (Mike) and my partners Cameron and Alison on a peaceful outdoor adventure into Joshua Tree California and the surrounding region that you won’t soon regret!

This is my favorite place in the United States and I am so EXCITED to share a week in the Hi-Desert with you. It’s a chance to share in community with this magnetic energy, exquisite desert scene, charming towns/people, and take a glimpse into the heartbeat of the funkiest slice of the lower 48 of the US. It will be a week that will fill your cup for the rest of the year I hope.

Meet Your Retreat Leaders!

Mike Rudd:
Mike is an Outdoor Adventurer and Health/Wellness Curator who has been putting on events and hacking together small businesses since a kid.
He’s been on the road as a nomad for the last several years with Joshua Tree California being his most frequented spot. He loves the places he volunteers and works at in the Hi-Desert community and Joshua Tree feels like home to him. He’ll be leading one of the group hike options each day on trails he hikes frequently, will be guiding a daily yoga and meditation class (he’s a certified 200 hour Vinyasa RYT), and many of the experiences/guests will be hand picked by him through his friends and connections in the community. He’s hiked the 150 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail that stretches through this region if you add on the PCT Hiking Intensive option! His trail name is DH.

Cameron Bourne:
Cameron is a passionate and adventurous yoga instructor with a 200-hour RYT certification and has a background as a certified personal trainer. She brings a dynamic blend of strength, flexibility, and mindfulness to her classes. When she's not on the mat, Cameron can be found rock climbing, mountain biking, or chasing new trails. An avid outdoorswoman, she thru-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail in 2017, earning the trail name "Fly Trap" after an unexpected encounter with a ladybug during a challenging water carry. Cameron’s classes are inspired by her own journey—rooted in adventure, growth, and a deep connection to the natural world. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a newcomer, Cameron is dedicated to guiding you through a practice that meets you where you are, encourages exploration, and cultivates inner strength and peace.

Meet Cameron, your week one co-leader on the Hi-Desert Adventure!

Alison Glowinski:
Alison is the co-founder of Happy People Hike, an experienced retreat leader and serial entrepreneur. Both grounded in reality and dancing in the mystical, she uses her gifts to help others reconnect with their souls and the natural world around them. Alison has traveled the world both solo and with groups and has found the best teacher to be mother nature and the best moments come when we are connected with one another through adventure, conversation and the simplicity of a home cooked meal. Alison is also an avid writer and life guide through her side hustle, Soulfully Content. During the retreat Alison will be leading a variety of workshops and her signature fire ceremony designed for fresh starts.
